BMD & Major Road Projects Victoria completed an upgrade of Fitzsimons Lane in January 2023. The project included upgrades of four very busy intersections, new priority bus lanes, safer pedestrian crossing points and cycling lanes for active users. BMD worked with OmniGrip Direct to install OmniGrip CST.
Regional Roads Victoria wanted to reduce the potential for road crash induced stress and trauma at high-risk intersections by upgrading safety pedestrian crossings in Bendigo and Trafalgar. 64 LED Safety Tactiles were installed to make this very busy intersection safer in the centre of Bendigo.
Regional Roads Victoria needed to reduce road trauma, stress and risk of serious injury for motorcycle riders along the Great Ocean Road. The Kids Bridge was designed to create a pedestrian link between the Perth Children’s Hospital and Kings Park facilitating access to WA’s premier parkland, a place for relaxation and reflection for hospital staff, patients and visitors. OmniGrip Resurface was selected for the shared pathway.
Yarra Ranges Council recognises that projects incorporating recycled materials showcase sustainability and support local recycling industries. The council commissioned Omnigrip Re-Surface along Blacksmiths Way to activate the area and make it safer for pedestrians and cyclists.

The Department of Transport and Planning needed to upgrade the safety of a busy intersection at Fitzroy Street in St Kilda with a troublesome history of nose-to-tail accidents and serious crashes. Regional Roads Victoria, part of the Victorian Department of Transport & Planning, installed Smarterlite’s photoluminescent linemarking along nearly 20km of roads and paths in regional Victoria, in Bendigo and near Kinglake and Metung. The project was funded by the Australian and Victorian Governments.
A primary concern for Wyndham City Council and the community was to avoid having light spill affecting wildlife in the park and nearby wetlands, whilst also improving public safety. OmniGrip Direct installed 15 Vivacity solar stud lights through the park to assist people walking in the evenings and at night.
